Do my signers need an account?
No. They open the link in their email, review the document and sign on a phone or computer. Signers never pay.
What can I send?
PDF and Word documents, or a saved template. You can add signers, approvers, viewers and people who only receive a copy.
Can several people sign the same document?
Yes. Set a signing order, or let everyone sign at the same time. Each person signs only their own fields.
Are electronic signatures legal in Rwanda?
For most documents, yes. Rwanda recognizes electronic signatures and electronic contracts under Law N° 18/2010, and every GewapeSign document carries an audit trail and a completion certificate that support your records. The law excludes wills, negotiable instruments, powers of attorney and documents relating to immovable property, and some documents need other formalities. Check those with your legal adviser.
